A sculpture made for the Rugby Football Open Exhibition in 2015, winning 'The Peoples' Choice' Award and 'The Fine Art Society' Prize. The Rugby player is bursting through the distinctive architecture of Rugby School (where William Webb Ellis created the game of Rugby), breaking through the conformities of both an established sport (football) and the restrictions enforced in a historic boarding school.
